title : Meaning of my name.
You might think I'm bored and yeah, you are right. I'm suffering from insomnia again and I just checked the meaning of my name and thought I would share with you, so here it is: Beata \be(a)-ta\ as a girl's name is pronounced bee-AH-tah. It is of Latin origin, and the meaning of Beata is "blessed". First word of the Latin version of the famous "beatitudes" part of the biblical Sermon on the Mount: "Blessed are the poor in spirit.." "pronounced bee-AH-tah"..now I'm just wondering why native English speakers can't pronounce my name. There is also Beata in English, tho the Hungarian equivalent of my name is with "á" so Beáta. It just came to my mind because i'm 100% sure that no one will be able to pronounce my name properly during the summer. We will see it. You know, I'm spending my summer in the US..just mentioned. Actually, I don't really like my name. The shortened form 'Bea' is okay, but the sound of Beáta is pretty annoying. Am I right? Ofc, I am. |
