title : 3 days before Christmas
I had my last exam in 2011 on the 21st December and it was British Civilization, well, I got 4 and it's great :-) as this exam was the one I was afraid of the most. My teacher couldn't decide whether it was 3 or 4 but he said that he will be generous and give me a 4. Ohh, and guess what..my philosophy exam was successful :-) I got 2 :D but it's like a 5 for me :D Next day I went to Budapest. I bought some presents and wrapped them. On 23rd we went to the Christmas Fair in Vörösmarty Square. At the fair, folk artisans and craftsmen sell their goods which are handmade in the traditional way from natural and organic materials. The market also has a gastronomic side. Visitors can taste traditional Hungarian foods like kenyérlángos (a flat bread like dough cooked in a cob oven), kürtőskalács (a cone-shaped sweet yeast cake), rétes (strudel), pecsenye (roast meats), and last but not least, the most of typical winter drinks, forralt bor (mulled wine). I didn't like this one but the one in Szent István Square was soo much better. :-) There's an ice-rink in the middle surrounded by a number of vendors selling Christmas-themed arts and crafts, mulled wine, pálinka, fried sausages and other tasty fares. The ice-rink is small, but if you feel like hitting the ice during the holiday season, it's okay. :-) I came home with R. on 24th December. Here comes some of the pictures: |
