title : Preparing for Christmas, isn't it too early?
Christmas is almost here, yep I know it's just 13th November but time passes sooo fast. It's almost December, which means that my exams are starting soon. Well, I love Christmas preparations, I love buying Christmas decorations, gifts, scented candles, Christmas movies etc. But as years pass by we start preparing for Christmas more earlier than we used to. I mean, the shop where my mom works is already decorated and the streets will be decorated soon as well. Interesting. Personally I think it's too early but I decided that I won't listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies before the 6th of December. This day in Hungary is the day of Saint Nicholas. (Mikulás, Télapó) In Hungary children typically leave their boots on the windowsill on the evening of 5 December. By next morning Nikolaus leaves candy and gifts in them if they have been good, or a rod (virgács) if they have been bad (most kids end up getting small gifts but also a small rod). In Hungary he is often accompanied by the Krampusz, the frightening helper who is out to take away the bad ones. When I was younger I believed in Mikulás, but now I know that he isn't exist. (: When you are young it's good to believe that Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny etc. are exist but when you are getting older you realize that they're exist only in your imagine.
What I wanted to write actually is that I've just got Michael Bublé's Christmas CD and I love it. I think this will be the only CD I'll listen to during the holidays. ;)
Ohh, I need a Advent wreath, too. I like making my Advent wreath on my own but I think this year I'll buy a ready-made one.
