5 ways you break the ice: - Tell them I like some article of clothing they are wearing, or comment their hair. - Talk about something in common (like teachers, classes). - If I’m listening to music, I’d ask the person if they like the band/artist I’m listening to currently. Then continue the conversation about music tastes and stuff. - If I'm eating sweets, I'd ask them whether they would like to taste it. - Laughter. I suck at telling jokes and funny stories, but I always try to laugh when other people are telling them because I feel like it puts the other person at ease. Also, laughter loosens me up. I'm quite shy and never approach people first so I’m not really the type of person that is the ice breaker. I really only talk to people I know or people I know through people so the ice doesn’t really have to be broken. |
